Automation Engineer (Night Shift) $80,000 - $85,000 + 10% Bonus + Technical Training + Career Progression + 401(k) + PTO + Medical, Dental, Vision Scranton, PA (Commutable from: Pittston, Kingston, Wilkes-Barre, Clarks Summit, Carbondale, Honesdale) Are you an Automation Engineer with PLC programming experience, looking for technical training and long-term career progression? Are you confident fault-finding in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and making controls improvements that keep production running? This is a rare chance to join a global, high-tech manufacturer in a permanent role, where you'll be trained on highly automated equipment and developed into a stronger, more rounded engineer. You'll join a site that rewards performance and promotes internally, with a clear example of progression already happening in the team. You'll be working in a modern, fully automated facility with large-scale production lines, minimal red tape, and a strong "get it fixed and improve it" engineering culture. If you enjoy technical problem solving, continuous improvement, and working with automation in the real world, this is a standout opportunity. On shift, you'll support breakdown response, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and project work across the automated lines, working closely with the electrical and maintenance team on nights (after initial training on days). The Role:
Automation/controls support in a fully automated manufacturing facility (Allen Bradley PLC focus) Breakdown response, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance support, and project work Night shift 2-2-3 pattern (7pm-7am) after ~2 months training on day shift
The Person:
Engineering degree (required) Manufacturing/production background with hands-on automation/controls experience Allen Bradley PLC programming capability (able to make program changes, not just monitor)
