What Our Work Looks Like This is a permanent full-time position based in the Hobbs, NM area. We seek Automation Technicians with relevant oilfield experience. With a consistent focus on safety, cost control, and client satisfaction, the Automation Technician will also have a history of producing quality work with attention to detail that meets or exceeds client needs. Selected candidates can be expected to: Provide automation and programming expertise for oil and gas technology throughout the Permian Basin, delivering support of new products, technologies, and automation projects Program and provide support of industry-standard devices and systems (Allen Bradley PLCs, IDEC PLCs, SCADAPack, ABB Totalflow, Schneider PLCs, ROC, Kimray, etc.) Assist with digital data communications (SignalFire radio, Pepwave and Microhard cellular modems, etc.) and other networking systems Work with Noralta's nTerface platform and system programmers, supporting new products, technologies, and projects Train clients on the use of nTerface and train technicians on the installation and maintenance of nTerface-connected devices Travel throughout the Permian Basin for new projects and in response to business needs Provide exceptional customer support to our clients Qualifications GED, programming knowledge, and training Preference given to those with a technical school diploma in Automation, Controls, and/or Instrumentation Diverse work experience with electrical and automation systems on oil and gas field sites is a must Knowledge of control systems and product testing experience is a must-have Demonstrated expertise in management of end-to-end automation projects Strong customer service, multitasking, and problem-solving skills Capable of working efficiently under pressure in a sometimes physically demanding environment, demonstrating experience working outdoors in all climatic conditions and sometimes in remote locations Personal Qualities You hold honesty and integrity as core values Act as the Noralta brand ambassador, representing the company and its full service offering to our clients Exceptional communication skills with the ability to identify sales opportunities within the client setting Proud of the work that you do, going the extra mile to finish what you start and openly sharing your ideas Demonstrate clear respect and support for the complementary trades Ability to see around the corner — taking a safe approach in everything that you do Personally involved in the community in which you reside
Noralta Provides:
Fully tooled corporate service vehicle will be provided PPE and safety training

Pay:
$40.00 - $55.00 per hour
