Job Purpose The Precision Assembly Technician (Technician I) role is essential to LaserLinc's production team, contributing to the assembly, alignment, testing, and quality assurance of our precision measurement systems. This hands-on position provides an excellent opportunity to build technical expertise while ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of accuracy and reliability. Essential Functions Assist in the assembly and calibration of micrometers, SmartLinc, Net I/O, and external NetLinc systems under senior technicians' guidance. Conduct basic testing on micrometers to verify accuracy, functionality, and compliance with specifications. Perform routine inspections to identify and resolve defects or inconsistencies in the production process. Accurately document calibration and test results to meet internal quality standards. Operate tools and equipment, including oscilloscopes, micrometer calibration machines, and inspection gauges. Troubleshoot minor mechanical or electrical issues, performing basic repairs as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Support inventory management, equipment maintenance, and other production tasks as directed. Essential Tools & Technology Fishbowl Windows Operating System Oscilloscope Multimeter Google Workspace:

G-mail, Google Chat, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Meet, Google Chrome Other Tools & Technology Jira Knowledge, Education, and Experience High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical certification or coursework in precision measurement or mechanical engineering is a plus. Basic knowledge of micrometers and other precision measuring instruments is preferred. Basic understanding of mechanical assembly and calibration processes. Ability to use hand tools and small machinery safely and effectively. Working Conditions The position is located at our headquarters in Fairborn, OH, and is primarily performed sitting in a temperature-controlled office environment with low-to-moderate noise. The role routinely requires using standard production equipment, such as soldering irons, screwdrivers, Allen wrenches, pliers, and similar tools.
