Job Description
Electronics Technician III (Integrated Electronic Security Systems)
Location:
Panama City, Florida Join a Team That Protects Critical Missions MANDEX is seeking an experienced Electronics Technician III to join our Integrated Electronic Security Systems (IESS) team in Panama City, Florida. If you enjoy hands-on technical work, solving complex challenges, and supporting mission-critical facilities, this is an opportunity to build and maintain advanced electronic security systems that protect government and defense operations. As a key member of our installation team, you'll work with cutting-edge physical security technologies while collaborating with experienced professionals in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. What You'll Do As an Electronics Technician III, you will install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade integrated electronic security systems at customer locations.Your responsibilities will include:
- Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade integrated electronic and physical security systems.
- Install and terminate low-voltage and high-voltage wiring, including copper and fiber optic cabling.
- Install equipment, security panels, conduit, cable trays, and associated infrastructure.
- Bend and install rigid and EMT conduit.
- Configure and program electronic security software and system components.
- Perform system testing, commissioning, and turnover activities.
- Diagnose system issues and perform corrective maintenance to ensure reliable operation.
- Maintain quality workmanship while adhering to safety and security requirements.
- Travel to customer sites as required to support installation and sustainment activities.
What We're Looking For Required Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience installing, maintaining, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing Integrated Electronic Security Systems (IESS).
- Strong background working with electronic and physical security systems.
- Experience with: o Low- and high-voltage electrical systems o Copper and fiber optic cable installation and termination o Cable dressing and connector fabrication/repair o Rigid and EMT conduit installation and conduit bending o Electrical power connections, including 220V systems
- Ability to travel up to 25% in support of project requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- LenelS2 certification.
- Experience commissioning and integrating enterprise security systems.
- Experience supporting government or Department of Defense facilities.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Formal electronics training from one of the following: o Accredited technical or vocational school o Class A or Class B military electronics or communications school o Four-year electronics apprenticeship program o Training should include subjects such as: § Electronic system installation § Soldering § Cable dressing § Cable tray installation § Conduit installation § Connector fabrication and repair
Physical Requirements:
This position requires hands-on field work.Candidates must be able to:
- Lift and carry equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
- Pull cable and perform repetitive installation tasks
- Climb ladders and work at varying heights
- Work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions
Security Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
