Quality Engineer#26-09184 Duncan, SC Onsite Contract Starts 9/04/2026 Ends 6/04/2027 Job Description Genesis10 is currently seeking a Quality Engineer for a contract position with a Global Industrial Equipment Manufacturer located in Duncan, SC. This is a 9+ month contract opportunity. This position is fully onsite.
Compensation:
$61.00 - $71.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications
Position Overview:
Working within the Sourcing function, this role will review existing and outdated engineering drawings and specifications to ensure applicability,pleteness, and manufacturability before they are used in bid packages. This position requires the ability to make sound decisions within established guidelines, modern engineering concepts to moderatelyplex issues, and resolve problems by collaborating with other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and evaluate engineering designs, drawings, and technical documentation Collaborate with sourcing, engineering and quality to meet project objectives Interpret legacy engineering drawings, including drawings created in the 1960s Read and analyze technical drawings and specifications in the areas of electronics, fabrications, machining, hardware products and outside special processes (e.g., heat treatment, painting, plating, etc) Track drawings and specifications in a database/spreadsheet for future action for other departments to resolve the problems or issues found
Primary Requirements:
Experience reading and interpreting historical/legacy engineering drawings, including drawings dating back to the pre-1960s found on hand drawings and microfiche Strong ability to read and understand engineering s, schematics, and technical drawings Ability to identify, verify and trace part numbers from engineering documentation Ability to use modern dayputer systems to find drawings and specifications Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Desired Skills:
Background in Quality, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or a related field Manufacturing, industrial, transportation, or heavy equipment experience Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
