Job Type:
Temporary.
Pay Range:
$40 to $50 hourly. The role of the Instrumentation Technician is to Install instrumentation, test equipment, sensors, and related components on prototype vehicles in accordance with engineering specifications, standards, and test procedures. Perform full-vehicle tear-down and assembly, low- and high-voltage wiring, fabrication or modification of components and fixtures, test driving, troubleshooting, detailed documentation, and close coordination with the Garage Manager and lead technicians.
Requirements:
7+ years of professional automotive technician experience Experience with electric and hybrid vehicles (required) Full-vehicle tear-down and assembly experience Experience using strain gauges, thermocouples, string potentiometers, displacement gauges, accelerometers, and force transducers Experience with data acquisition systems, including ETAS, eDAQ, Michigan Scientific, Kistler, Peak, and Vector Experience with low-voltage and high-voltage vehicle wiring systems Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Strong communication skills Strong technical and mechanical aptitude Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex vehicle systems
