Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial electrical systems, instrumentation, and maintenance, with experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, calibration, and schematic interpretation. This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing complex electrical and instrumentation equipment to ensure optimal plant operations. Candidates with military experience or expertise in high voltage systems are encouraged to apply. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects involving vision inspection systems, CNC machinery, and distributed control systems within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Night Shift-(TH, FRI and SAT, every other WED) 6pm-6am Duties Perform installation, calibration, and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems across the facility. Troubleshoot and repair electrical components including low voltage and high voltage systems, sensors, and PLCs. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals using AutoCAD or similar software. Conduct preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment, hydraulic systems, and precision measuring instruments. Support field service activities by diagnosing issues on-site and providing timely solutions. Assist in the integration of vision inspection systems, CNC machinery, and other automation equipment such as Calypso software. Ensure compliance with safety standards related to electrical work and high voltage systems. Maintain detailed documentation of repairs, calibrations, and system modifications for compliance and quality assurance purposes. Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system reliability and performance through continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Proven experience as an industrial electrician or in industrial maintenance roles; military background highly regarded. Strong knowledge of electrical systems including low voltage, high voltage, sensors, PLCs (programmable logic controllers), distributed control systems (DCS), and calibration techniques. Mechanical knowledge related to hydraulic systems, CNC machinery, and precision measurement tools such as ohmmeters. Familiarity with schematics drawing tools like AutoCAD is preferred. Experience working with vision inspection systems and automation hardware/software such as Calypso is a plus. Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with customer service orientation for internal stakeholders or external clients during field service activities. Strong communication skills for documenting work processes clearly and effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
