Job Description
Hiring Technicians/Engineering Technicians In Carlsbad, CA No Degree Required 1st Shift Job Description The technician will support activities including design, testing, check-out, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems. The role involves moderately complex work that requires considerable judgment and initiative in resolving problems and making recommendations. Responsibilities Support the main assembly and production line by building complete machines from subassemblies. Perform calibration, integration, testing, and troubleshooting. Act as a bridge between production associates and engineering when needed. Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans to perform testing, checkout, and troubleshooting functions. Conduct engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect design data or assist in research work. Perform operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Assist in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Assist in the design, assembly, test, and check-out of test equipment. Use manufacturing, test, development, or diagnostic equipment, including test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized test apparatus. Essential Skills Troubleshooting skills with minimal supervision. Strong electro-mechanical assembly experience. Ability to read schematics and technical documentation. Comfortable running calibration, testing, burn-in, and integration activities. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience assembling and building complete machines/systems. 3+ years of relevant technician experience preferred. Component-level troubleshooting experience is helpful Degree is not required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
