Job Description

A global engineering organization is seeking an experienced Calibration & Controls Engineer to support a high-priority development program in Alabama. This is a hands-on contract opportunity supporting the development, calibration, integration, and validation of advanced gasoline engine and control systems. Responsibilities Develop and optimize engine and powertrain calibrations for high-performance gasoline applications Support controls development, system integration, testing, and validation activities Analyze test and performance data to identify issues and recommend calibration or controls improvements Troubleshoot complex engine, controls, and system-level performance concerns Support development from initial calibration through production-level validation Work closely with engineering teams, suppliers, and customer representatives Manage assigned engineering activities to meet project timing, quality, and performance requirements Provide technical updates, documentation, and project status reporting Support and mentor junior engineering team members as needed Qualifications Strong background in engine calibration, controls engineering, or related powertrain development Experience with gasoline internal combustion engine systems Knowledge of Engine Management Systems (EMS/ECU) and calibration strategies Experience with industry-standard calibration, diagnostics, and data-analysis tools Understanding of engine fundamentals, controls development, testing, and validation Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities Ability to work directly with customers and cross-functional engineering teams Comfortable working in a hands-on testing and development environment Ability to travel periodically based on project requirements This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced calibration or controls professional interested in a highly technical, hands-on engineering program with a well-established global organization.
Compensation:
$60-$80/hour, depending on experience. CIV123
Pay:
$50.00 - $80.00 per hour
