Job Title Assistant Engineer Office Location Brookshire, TX Business Function/Department Power Electronics Systems/ Technology Sales Territory, if applicable N/A General Role Description Coordinate and manage the flow of engineering documents, including drawings and technical content, for the business unit (BU) engineers Role Accountabilities
  • Update schematics, wiring, and electrical drawings using AutoCAD, ensuring alignment with engineering standards and project requirements
  • Prepare the release of print schematics, wiring, and electrical drawings to Assembly and QC Departments, ensuring accuracy and version control
  • Prepare work instructions and procedures for manufacturing, as directed
  • Provide technical content for product manuals, ensuring the documentation is clear, accurate, and aligned with final product specifications
  • Provide engineering guidance to production personnel, helping to interpret drawings and resolve technical concerns
  • Track and maintain revisions to specifications and drawings throughout the product lifecycle, adhering to change control processes
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions in documentation and design workflows in collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams
  • Ensure technical documentation complies with industry codes and internal standards, supporting quality, safety, and regulatory compliance General Employee Accountabilities

  • Bachelor of science in electrical engineering or related field or equivalent via education and/or work experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical circuits, schematics, and industrial documentation standards
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills, including the ability to resolve technical discrepancies in engineering documentation
  • Demonstrated successful working relationships with others in educational or employment settings
  • Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts
  • Proficiency with MS office programs
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends to meet project deadlines
  • Availability to travel, domestically, up to 5%, sometimes with limited notice Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated experience supporting high-volume, multi-project engineering environments
  • Demonstrated familiarity with
ISO 9000
documentation standards and document control procedures
  • 2 years' experience of records management
  • Experience with CREO, SolidWorks, Inventor software
