division is currently seeking a Automation & CNC Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift to join the El Paso, TX site. The hourly rate for this position is $23.92 per hour, plus $1 per hour shift differential. This position is also eligible for a variable pay incentive.Shift:

Position Overview:
The CNC-Automation Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of automation equipment at the El Paso PCD facility. This includes high-speed automated systems and CNC Brother machines used in the assembly area. The technician will ensure optimal performance, reliability, and safety of all automation assets by applying advanced technical knowledge in robotics, control systems, and CNC operations. The role also supports equipment commissioning, startup validation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet production and quality goals.In this function you will:
- Assist in commissioning new equipment and startup validation.
- Troubleshoot and analyze complex control systems to resolve software and hardware problems.
- Participate in risk assessment events to reduce safety hazards in equipment.
- Maintain maintenance logs and equipment documentation.
- Communicate equipment status as required.
- Perform hands-on development, troubleshoot, and improvements to high-speed automated equipment for the manufacturing of breakers.
- Apply technical knowledge in programming and troubleshooting to improve machine performance.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot CNC's, ensuring optimal performance and precision in machining processes.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on CNC's, including calibration and alignment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control issues specific to CNC equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to optimize CNC machining operations and reduce downtime.
- Ensure that CNC programs are properly loaded, executed, and adjusted as needed for production requirements.
- Use measurement tools and inspection techniques to verify part quality and machine accuracy.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with automation equipment or relevant technical experience.
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

- Ability in the use of engineering and productivity tools (CAD software, Office suite and AS400)
- Familiarity with spindle and axis diagnostics, calibration, and alignment.
- Advanced process control knowledge: Fuzzy Logix, Profibus, Profinet networks, PID functions, Functional Charts Language, Ethernet-IP / TCP-IP networks, G-Code.
- Robotics expertise: FANUC, ABB, Epson, Stäubli, Motoman, KUKA (especially pick-and-place applications).
Knowledge of Rockwell Automation Software:
Studio 5000 (RSLogix 5000), FactoryTalk ME/SE.- Motion control systems: Kinetix Servo Drives, Sinamics or similar.
- Vision systems: Cognex (Insight 5000, 2000, Micro), Keyence CVX/IV, Banner.
- Strong background in maintenance of automated equipment.
- Interpersonal skills to interact with employees, manage vendors, contractors, etc.
- Must be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize daily tasks.
- Attention to detail to ensure all jobs are completed in a proper manner and look for any potential hazards or warning signs.
- Experience in reading and understanding equipment schematics, including electrical, control, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Operation, setup, and troubleshooting of CNC machining centers.
- Understanding of G-code and CNC programming fundamentals.
- Experience with precision machining, tool changes, and offsets.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and machining specifications.
- Preventive and corrective maintenance of CNC systems and components.
- Effective problem-solving abilities and communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Knowledge of EHS practices, regulations, and procedures.
