The Rework Technician plays a vital role in diagnosing, repairing, and reworking electronic and electrical components to ensure product quality and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Perform detailed electrical diagnostics on electronic equipment using specialized tools such as oscilloscopes, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify faults accurately. Rework and repair electronic assemblies by executing electrical soldering, component replacement, and circuit modifications in accordance with schematics and blueprints. Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and engineering troubleshooting documents to guide repair procedures effectively. Utilize hand tools and field service equipment to disassemble, reassemble, and test electronic devices ensuring compliance with quality standards. Conduct testing of electronic systems using diagnostic software and hardware to verify proper operation after repairs. Document repair procedures, test results, and component replacements thoroughly for quality control records. Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols during all rework activities while handling AC/DC electrical systems. Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot complex issues related to electronic systems and recommend process improvements. Support ongoing maintenance activities by performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electronic equipment. Assist in training team members on the use of diagnostic tools and repair techniques as needed. Experience Proven experience as a Service Technician or Rework Technician within electronics manufacturing or repair environments. Strong proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters for electrical troubleshooting. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals accurately. Hands-on experience with electrical equipment repair involving AC/DC systems, soldering (including electrical soldering), and component replacement. Knowledge of electronic equipment testing procedures and troubleshooting methodologies. Familiarity with computer hardware troubleshooting, networking basics, and software diagnostic tools is advantageous. Prior experience working in field service or customer-facing roles is preferred. Excellent attention to detail combined with strong problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills for documenting repairs clearly and collaborating across teams.
