Competitive compensation based on experience and skill level About the Position We are looking for a motivated, dependable, technically skilled, and detail-oriented ADAS Calibration Technician to join our growing team and service customers throughout the Rio Grande Valley. The technician will be responsible for performing Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) inspections, calibrations, diagnostics, and related procedures on modern vehicles. This is a highly technical position where accuracy matters. ADAS systems are directly connected to vehicle safety, and improper calibration can affect systems such as automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, and other safety features. The ideal candidate is someone who understands the importance of following procedures, documenting their work, paying attention to details, and never taking shortcuts. This position may involve working with customers, dealerships, collision repair facilities, glass companies, body shops, mechanical repair facilities, insurance related accounts, and other automotive businesses throughout the RGV. Job Responsibilities ADAS Calibration Perform ADAS inspections and calibrations on a variety of vehicles, including: Cars Trucks SUVs Luxury vehicles Newer-model vehicles Collision-repaired vehicles Vehicles requiring windshield replacement Vehicles requiring suspension or alignment work Vehicles requiring sensor or camera calibration Systems may include: Forward-facing cameras Radar sensors Blind-spot monitoring Lane departure warning Lane keep assist Adaptive cruise control Forward collision warning Automatic emergency braking Rear cross-traffic alert Surround-view cameras Parking sensors Traffic sign recognition Driver monitoring systems Other manufacturer-specific safety systems Static & Dynamic Calibration The technician should be familiar with or willing to learn both static and dynamic ADAS calibration procedures .

Responsibilities may include:

Setting up calibration targets. Positioning targets according to manufacturer specifications. Measuring vehicle centerline and target distances. Setting target height and position. Performing camera calibrations. Performing radar calibrations. Performing dynamic calibrations when required. Following manufacturer-specific calibration procedures. Verifying calibration results. Documenting completed calibrations. Identifying calibration failures and determining appropriate next steps. Accuracy is more important than speed. Pre-Calibration Inspection Before performing a calibration, the technician will be expected to inspect the vehicle and verify that the vehicle is ready for calibration.

Tire pressure Ride height Wheel alignment Steering wheel position Suspension condition Vehicle loading Damage to sensors Camera mounting Windshield condition Radar mounting Sensor brackets Bumpers and mounting points Body damage Diagnostic trouble codes Battery voltage Required vehicle conditions The technician must recognize when a vehicle should not be calibrated because another issue must be corrected first. Diagnostic Scanning The technician may be responsible for performing pre and post repair diagnostic scans.

Responsibilities may include:

Connecting diagnostic equipment. Performing vehicle scans. Identifying diagnostic trouble codes. Recording pre-scan results. Recording post-scan results. Clearing codes when appropriate. Verifying that systems are functioning correctly. Identifying issues that require additional diagnosis or repair. Communicating findings to management and repair facilities. Experience with OEM and aftermarket diagnostic platforms is preferred. OEM Procedures ADAS calibration must be performed according to appropriate vehicle specific procedures. The technician will be expected to: Research applicable calibration requirements. Follow OEM procedures when required. Use correct targets and equipment. Verify required vehicle conditions. Follow proper measurement procedures. Maintain accurate documentation. Never guess at calibration specifications. Never skip required procedures simply to save time. The technician should understand that different manufacturers and vehicle models may require completely different calibration procedures. Collision Repair & Glass-Related Calibrations The technician will frequently work with vehicles that have undergone repairs that can affect ADAS systems.

This may include vehicles following:

Windshield replacement Front-end collision repair Bumper replacement Fender replacement Suspension repairs Steering repairs Wheel alignment Radar sensor replacement Camera replacement Grille replacement Body repair Structural repairs Sensor or bracket replacement The technician should understand the relationship between vehicle repairs and ADAS calibration requirements. Vehicle Measurement & Calibration Setup Proper setup is critical to accurate calibration. The technician will be expected to: Position vehicles correctly. Verify floor conditions. Measure vehicle centerline. Measure target distances. Set target height. Position targets accurately. Verify equipment level and alignment. Maintain proper lighting and environmental conditions when required. Follow equipment-specific setup procedures. Confirm the vehicle is properly positioned before beginning calibration. The technician must have a strong attention to detail and understand that being off by a small amount can affect calibration accuracy. Equipment Operation The technician will operate specialized ADAS equipment and diagnostic systems. Experience with the following is preferred: ADAS calibration systems OEM diagnostic tools Aftermarket scan tools Calibration targets Radar calibration equipment Camera calibration equipment Alignment equipment Measuring systems Digital vehicle inspection systems Battery support equipment Diagnostic software Calibration documentation systems Experience with multiple ADAS equipment platforms is a major plus. Customer & Business Relationship Building This position will involve interaction with customers and automotive businesses throughout the Rio Grande Valley.
