Job Description

Move Forward with Volt! Volt is immediately hiring Engineering Technicians (1st & 2nd Shift) in Pflugerville, TX. As an Engineering Technician , you will: Perform complex engineering tests, system checkouts, and development activities. Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to the component level. Analyze test data, identify issues, and implement corrective actions. Set up, conduct, and document operational and engineering tests to ensure compliance with design specifications. Review technical drawings, schematics, specifications, and project requirements to determine test procedures and objectives. Develop, fabricate, modify, and assemble mechanical components and assemblies. Evaluate test results and adjust equipment or processes to meet performance requirements. Maintain testing equipment, software, and documentation to current revision levels. Assist engineers with the design and development of test hardware and software. Develop and execute tests based on customer specifications. Organize and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, schematics, and procedures. Train technicians and operators on products, equipment, and processes. Prepare technical reports, procedures, and business correspondence. Present technical information and respond effectively to customer and management inquiries. Apply mathematical, statistical, and analytical problem-solving techniques to support engineering activities. Interface with customers and support customer presentations as needed. Assist with third-party development projects and engineering initiatives. Interpret complex technical instructions, drawings, and diagrams to resolve technical challenges. This is a full-time, temp to hire opportunity.

Monday
  • Friday 1st shift
  • 7:00am
  • 3:15pm 2nd shift
  • 3:00pm
  • 11:15pm The ideal candidate will have: 2 years of Equivalent Experience.
Associates degree, military training, equivalent vocational training preferred. Ability to communicate in English, skill written and verbal. Computer skills required Ability to read and comprehend instructions to complete tasks Strong manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination: Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Payrate:
$20.50 per hour
  • 2nd shift earns a 10% per hour shift premium.
  • Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
