  • $25 an hour 4 days ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications Field service equipment repair Electrical work Mechanical repair Company vehicle operation Driver's License Electrical maintenance Mobile devices Full Job Description Commercial coffee equipment is everywhere — and it breaks down constantly.
The people who know how to fix it are rare, well-supported, and in high demand. If you're mechanically inclined, enjoy solving problems, and drink coffee regularly, this might be the most interesting skilled trade job you've never heard of. Caffeinated Coffee Repairs serves commercial accounts across the South-Central and Pacific Northwest United States, keeping espresso machines, brewers, grinders, and water systems running at peak performance. What the work actually involves Each day brings two to three field service calls at cafes, hotels, and commercial hospitality accounts.
The technical work includes:
Taking voltage, resistance, capacitance, and continuity readings with a multimeter Reading and interpreting electrical and hydraulic diagrams Identifying outlet configurations and plumbing thread types, and fabricating adapters as needed Disassembling and reassembling equipment with close attention to detail Locating correct part numbers using parts diagrams and machine documentation Writing thorough, professional service notes — clear language, no errors, no slang Organizing tasks and time using ServiceTitan, our digital field service platform Translating technical findings into plain language for customers Tasting coffee after repairs to verify proper machine output Prior experience with hands-on repair work is expected — think home electrical projects, plumbing repairs, appliance work, or similar. No formal degree is required, but familiarity with a multimeter is. You'll also need a valid driver's license with a clean record, the ability to lift 75 lbs, a smartphone that can run our required apps, and a secure address for parts deliveries via FedEx and UPS. Built to support you We've designed this role so you can focus on the technical work. Scheduling, dispatch, and back-office administrative support are handled by a dedicated team. Inventory is tracked digitally and reordered automatically — though you'll assist with parts receiving and inventory counts. Basic vehicle confidence is part of the role too — things like handling a flat tire or bringing the vehicle in for scheduled maintenance. After training, you'll receive a company vehicle and work directly from home — no office commute. Milestones that matter At 30 days — Accurate diagnoses and a solid understanding of every major machine system. Getting it right comes before getting it fast. At 60 days — Running calls solo, consistently, with minimal errors. At 90 days — Averaging two hours or less per service call. Efficient and dependable. What we offer $20
