Non-Exempt Position Summary Hailiang Copper Texas is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to support the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and improvement of manufacturing equipment within our growing Copper Fittings Division. This position combines electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation expertise to ensure maximum equipment uptime, reliability, and production efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills and experience working with CNC machinery, automated manufacturing equipment, PLC-controlled systems, motors, sensors, drives, and industrial mechanical systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated production equipment. Diagnose equipment failures using electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, PLC diagnostics, and technical manuals. Install, maintain, and repair motors, drives, sensors, switches, relays, contactors, and control systems. Troubleshoot CNC machines, automated assembly equipment, and material handling systems. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability. Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including valves, cylinders, pumps, regulators, and associated controls. Assist with equipment installation, startup, commissioning, and process improvements. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and equipment performance. Utilize multimeters, electrical testing equipment, and mechanical diagnostic tools to identify issues. Document maintenance activities and complete work orders accurately and timely. Follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, machine guarding, and company safety procedures. Support production operations during equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance situations. Maintain clean and organized work areas consistent with 5S principles. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience troubleshooting both electrical and mechanical equipment. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation. Experience with motors, VFDs, sensors, control circuits, relays, and industrial electrical systems. Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, power transmission systems, bearings, and machine repair. Proficiency using electrical and mechanical diagnostic tools. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Technical degree, certificate, or apprenticeship in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or related field. Experience supporting CNC machining operations. PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or similar). Experience with robotic or automated manufacturing equipment. Welding and fabrication experience. Forklift and overhead crane experience. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, and work around industrial equipment for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in manufacturing environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, and production demands. Ability to wear required PPE and comply with all safety requirements.
