Job Description
Role Summary We are looking for a skilled Industrial Automation Technician to join our team, focusing on the upkeep and repair of automated manufacturing machinery in a high-speed setting. Your primary goal is to ensure that PLC systems, robotics, drives, sensors, and electrical components operate at peak performance, thereby reducing downtime and boosting overall production output. Core Duties Resolve technical issues and perform repairs on PLC-driven production machinery Identify and fix faults across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems Provide technical support for PLC platforms like Allen-Bradley or Siemens Maintain and troubleshoot industrial networks, VFDs, HMIs, servo systems, and sensors Execute routine preventive and predictive maintenance tasks on automated assets Analyze technical drawings, P&IDs, ladder logic, and electrical schematics Contribute to machine installations, upgrades, and projects that enhance production efficiency Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Maintenance departments to help maximize equipment reliability and uptime Maintain and troubleshoot robotic platforms such as KUKA, ABB, or Fanuc Log all maintenance tasks, equipment changes, and repairs in the CMMS Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by adhering to all OSHA and internal safety protocols Required Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance, controls, or industrial automation within a production facility Proven ability to diagnose and repair automated machinery and PLC systems Proficiency with TIA Portal, Siemens Step 7, or Allen-Bradley CompactLogix/ControlLogix platforms Hands-on experience resolving issues with industrial communication systems, servo motors, VFDs, and HMIs Skilled at interpreting ladder logic and complex electrical schematics Background working with CNC machinery, packaging equipment, conveyors, or robotics Experience utilizing maintenance tracking or CMMS platforms Technical certification or Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or Automation Strong ability to communicate effectively and work well within a team Desired Skills Experience with SCADA platforms like Wonderware, FactoryTalk, or Ignition Knowledge of industrial network protocols including Modbus, Profinet, DeviceNet, or Ethernet/IP Capability to program and troubleshoot robotic systems Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies Experience in high-speed manufacturing, automotive, packaging, or food and beverage sectors Compensation and Perks Attractive salary package Availability of overtime work Comprehensive vision, dental, and medical coverage Retirement savings plan with employer matching Paid time off and company-observed holidays Pathways for professional growth and advancement Opportunity to work in a secure and expanding manufacturing facility Essential proficiencies for this role include: Expertise in PLC troubleshooting Advanced electrical diagnostic skills Experience with PLC programming Ability to interpret electrical schematics
