Fiber Splicer - Drop Splicer

Fiber Optic Splicer - Independent Contractor (1099) We are hiring experienced Fiber Optic Splicers for ongoing outside plant and customer connection work throughout Northern Utah, including Herriman, Tooele, and up to Ogden. This is a 1099 independent contractor position with consistent workflow available for qualified technicians. Pay $40 per completed location Higher pay available for technicians who provide their own splice machine and tools What a Completed Location Includes Street-side fiber splice NID (Network Interface Device) splice Light level testing and verification Required jobsite photos and documentation Expected Production Most experienced splicers complete 5-8 locations per day , with high-performing technicians capable of completing up to 50 locations per week Schedule Monday-Friday Consistent work available Equipment We provide: Fusion splice machine Required hand tools Technicians with their own splice machine and tools may qualify for increased pay per location. Requirements Prior fiber splicing experience required Must be an experienced independent field technician Must have reliable personal vehicle for daily travel between job sites Valid driver's license required Ability to read fiber assignments and follow work orders Ability to perform clean, quality splicing and testing Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong attention to detail and job documentation Ability to work independently and stay on schedule No ladder work required Preferred Qualifications FTTH / last-mile fiber splicing experience Experience with light level testing and troubleshooting We are looking for dependable technicians who take pride in clean work, accurate testing, and completing jobs efficiently.

Pay:

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
