Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated, team oriented Instrumentation / Control System Technician to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair or replacement of industrial control system equipment used in critical utility operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate, repair, and replace industrial instrumentation and electronic control equipment.

Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), SCADA systems, process sensors, and other electronic equipment.

Troubleshoot and maintain process control sensors, including flow, level, pressure, analytical, and related instrumentation.

Support industrial control systems and equipment used in water distribution and wastewater/sewer operations.

Work with Allen Bradley PLCs, VFDs, UPS systems, and computer based maintenance management systems.

Respond to operational needs and participate in on call assignments and overtime as required.

Apply strong problem solving skills while working collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams.

Required QualificationsMinimum two years of specialized vocational training or college level coursework in electronics.

At least four years of experience with instrumentation/electronic systems, including three years working with industrial control systems.

Experience with process control instrumentation such as flow, level, pressure, and analytical sensors.

Water distribution, wastewater, or sewer utility experience is preferred.

Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, VFDs, UPS systems, and CMMS is preferred.
ISA CCST
Level 1 certification or Electrical Apprenticeship certification, or the ability to obtain either certification within 12 months.
