Electrical Test Technician (PLC & Industrial Controls) 1st & 2nd Shift | Direct Hire Johnson City, TN / Bristol, VA Area Are you an Electrical Technician, PLC Technician, Controls Technician, Industrial Electrician, or Test Technician looking for a stable direct hire opportunity? Due to continued growth and expansion, we are seeking multiple Electrical Test Technicians to join our team. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience troubleshooting electrical systems, PLC-controlled equipment, industrial controls, and power distribution equipment. You'll play a critical role in testing, diagnosing, and validating complex electrical systems before they are released to customers, while working with advanced diagnostic equipment in a manufacturing environment. What You'll Do Perform electrical testing, troubleshooting, and quality inspections on industrial electrical equipment and systems. Diagnose electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues using meters, test instruments, and diagnostic tools. Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems and assist with communication setup, configuration, and equipment testing. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and test procedures. Verify proper operation of transformers, relays, control circuits, single-phase and three-phase power systems, and Wye/Delta configurations. Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet engineering specifications and customer requirements. Document test results and support continuous improvement initiatives. Work safely around energized electrical equipment while adhering to all safety procedures. What We're Looking For/Work Environment/Value Prop Experience as an Electrical Technician, PLC Technician, Controls Technician, Industrial Electrician, Test Technician, Maintenance Electrician, or similar role. Strong electrical troubleshooting skills in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Experience working with PLC systems for troubleshooting, diagnostics, or communications. Ability to use multimeters, electrical test equipment, hand tools, and pneumatic tools. Understanding of industrial electrical systems, transformers, relays, motor controls, and power distribution. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety. Manufacturing facility environment with moderate noise and dust. Work with electrical equipment ranging from low voltage through high-voltage applications. Troubleshoot energized circuits where appropriate safety procedures are followed. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and move throughout the facility as needed.
