We are growing our maintenance department and looking to hire at our mill located in Dendron, Virginia (Surry County). The ideal candidate will be experienced in programming, repairing, and maintaining programmable logic controller (PLC) systems while partnering with production and collaborating with other manufacturing teams to achieve production goals. Responsibilities Perform predictive and preventative maintenance on automated manufacturing equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and electrical systems. Troubleshoot complex machinery issues using schematics, electrical blueprints, and analysis skills to identify root causes. Conduct electrical diagnostics with tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and low voltage testers to ensure systems operate reliably. Repair and replace mechanical components using precision measuring instruments, welding, and other industrial mechanic techniques. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities for tracking and reporting purposes. Ensure compliance with safety standards including lock out / tag out, confined space and hot work permits. Skills Experience working in manufacturing facilities with a solid understanding of industrial maintenance practices. Proficiency in reading schematics, electrical blueprints, and troubleshooting electrical systems. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hydraulics, and pneumatics Strong knowledge of electrical diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and electrical blueprint reading. Skilled in welding techniques for equipment repair or fabrication tasks. Excellent analysis skills combined with customer service orientation to support internal teams effectively. Pay:
$34.00 - $41.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 48.0 per week
