Job Description Perform fiber splicing on cabling ranging from 12-count to 432-count fiber Support installation teams by testing newly installed fiber infrastructure Conduct OTDR testing and fiber certification Troubleshoot fiber connectivity issues and identify signal loss or performance concerns Repair damaged fiber and perform jumper replacements as necessary Install and terminate connectors, including work involving vacant-seat connectors Review test results and validate fiber performance Document splice results and testing reports Support commissioning and turn-up efforts within the LinkedIn data center We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements 3+ years of fiber optic splicing experience Experience splicing fiber counts from 12-strand through 432-strand fiber Strong troubleshooting skills within fiber optic environments Hands-on experience performing: Fusion splicing Fiber terminations Connector installations Jumper replacements Experience utilizing and interpreting: OTDR testing Fiber certification testing Light level testing Ability to read splice matrices, fiber diagrams, and test documentation Experience working in active data center environments Experience working in hyperscale or enterprise data centers Previous LinkedIn, Meta, Google, Microsoft, or AWS data center experience Lead Splicer experience Knowledge of both single-mode and multi-mode fiber systems Experience using EXFO, Fluke, or similar testing equipment Experience supporting large-scale fiber deployments
Certifications:
OSHA 10 preferred BICSI certification preferred Fiber manufacturer certifications are a plus
