Job Overview Central Marketing, Inc. is a supplier to the tire industry, focusing in the retreading division and the new tire sector. We have been in business for 40 years and we are number one in the United States in this particular market. We sell and service new PLC and computer-controlled machinery, as well as more simple mechanical machinery. The machinery has electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic parts. We are currently looking for a well-rounded Equipment Technician to enhance our current technical force. The ideal candidate will have the ability to read and follow schematics and diagrams to diagnose problems. The candidate should also be able to understand PLCs and connect a laptop to a PLC and troubleshoot problems. The candidate must be able to work alone and solve problems. Applicants should also have good people skills in order to interact with customers and suppliers. We are also looking for mechanically-inclined people to be trained in this field to service our equipment. After a training period, the technician will be required to travel to customer locations to install and service machinery, as well as to train our customer's personnel on the proper use and maintenance of the machinery. Our technicians are generally only gone from Monday through Thursday or Friday and travel is generally only for a week at a time and then the technician is at home for several weeks before being sent out again. There are also times when we are doing very little travel and the technicians will be in our warehouse working on machinery located in our warehouse for extended periods of time and no travel is required. Responsibilities Troubleshoot electrical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic components, and mechanical failures utilizing electrical diagnostics tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and low voltage testers. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and engineering troubleshooting manuals to diagnose issues accurately. Conduct equipment troubleshooting and repairs involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electricians' experience, and electrical systems. Skills Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, electrical blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and engineering troubleshooting techniques. Skilled in mechanical repair including hydraulic systems, pneumatics troubleshooting, and the use of precision measuring instruments. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrician practices, and automation components for efficient troubleshooting. Strong customer service orientation with excellent analysis skills to identify root causes quickly and implement effective solutions. Familiarity with industrial safety protocols related to electrical systems, mechanical repairs, welding operations, and field service activities. Effective communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration across teams. This will be a full-time, permanent position. Pay:

$60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
