Robot Technician Robot Technician Location:
Woodbridge Pay Rate:
$24.00/hour
Shift:
6am - 2pm (may be flexed into 2pm-10pm, must be flexible) Our client, a leading automotive manufacturing facility, is currently hiring an experienced Robot Technician to join their Maintenance team. This role is responsible for supporting production through equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure quality and efficiency targets are consistently met. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair robotic systems, weld controllers, and PLC-controlled equipment Modify and maintain robot programs, PLC logic, and HMI interfaces Perform preventative maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner Support equipment changeovers, tooling adjustments, and production setups Ensure all program modifications maintain or improve product quality Utilize problem-solving tools to address production issues and minimize downtime Contribute to continuous improvement and 5S initiatives Maintain compliance with all health & safety, environmental, and company policies Requirements 5-7 years of experience in a similar role within an automotive or manufacturing environment Post-secondary education in a related field (preferred) Strong knowledge of robotics, PLC programming (Allen Bradley required, OMRON an asset), and HMI systems Experience with electrical troubleshooting (low voltage), MIG and spot welding Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to lead and collaborate within a team environment Must be able to read and write in English Additional Details 100% plant floor environment (PPE required) Overtime may be required based on production needs Frequent lifting up to 35 lbs and push/pull up to 50 lbs High attention to safety and situational awareness required How to Apply Please forward your resume to Joshua@canadianexecutivesearch.com We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in the workplace.
