Job Description

Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract To Hire Make a meaningful impact supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher in an extended school year program. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers the chance to work in a one-on-one setting with 1st grade students who have behavioral needs, including autism and ADHD. With dedicated on-site administration for guidance and encouragement, you'll find a collaborative environment focused on student progress. Bring your passion and expertise to a nurturing setting, helping students thrive academically and socially throughout their extended school year.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education or eligibility to obtain one Experience as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or working knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis BCBA credential is highly valued Background supporting students with autism and/or ADHD strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to individualize instruction and employ positive behavioral interventions Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored instruction to 1st grade students in a one-on-one environment, adapting lessons to diverse learning needs Develop and implement behavior intervention plans in partnership with other specialists Track student goals, progress, and behavioral data, using insights to adjust teaching approaches as needed Regularly communicate with families, staff, and administration to ensure student success Participate in professional development and team meetings to enhance skills and strategies This full-time, 40-hour-per-week position offers an inspiring setting where your skills will help shape young lives.
