Responsibilities Change locks efficiently on doors, gates, and secure entry points, ensuring proper functionality and security compliance Conduct winterization procedures on buildings, plumbing systems, and equipment to prevent damage during cold weather conditions Diagnose electrical issues related to lock systems or mechanical components using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters Interpret technical schematics, drawings, and manuals to facilitate accurate repairs and installations Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on heavy equipment or mechanical systems involved in lock mechanisms or winterization processes Document all work performed accurately in maintenance logs and report any issues requiring further attention Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion of lock changes and seasonal preparations Skills Strong electrical diagnostics skills with experience using ohmmeters and other testing devices Mechanical knowledge related to lock systems, hardware installation, and repair procedures Experience working with heavy equipment mechanics or similar machinery involved in building maintenance or winterization efforts Familiarity with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) practices for facility management Ability to interpret schematics, technical drawings, and manuals accurately Technical proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems involved in lock mechanisms Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail when diagnosing issues or performing repairs This role is vital for maintaining the safety, security, and operational readiness of our facilities.
