In this role, you will drive production efficiency by operating advanced cutting machinery to transform raw materials into high-quality components, playing a vital part in our manufacturing output. Responsibilities Execute precise cuts on sheet and tube laser equipment to meet production schedules. Interpret complex fabrication blueprints and technical drawings to ensure part accuracy. Perform quality inspections on finished components to maintain strict tolerance standards. Manage material handling, including loading, unloading, and preparing parts for secondary fabrication. Collaborate with the broader fabrication team to streamline workflows and optimize machine uptime. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace to support high-performance operations. Support press brake operations and other fabrication tasks as production needs dictate. Continuously develop expertise by cross-training on additional metalworking machinery and processes. Required Skills Proven experience operating industrial laser cutting machinery. Solid understanding of metal fabrication principles and sheet metal processing. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical fabrication drawings. Proficiency with precision measurement tools, including tape measures and calipers. Strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to high-quality output. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and maintain a consistent, reliable work pace. Preferred Skills Experience with CNC plasma cutting or similar thermal cutting technologies. Prior certification or experience operating a forklift in a warehouse setting. Familiarity with industrial safety standards and best practices. Willingness to pursue additional certifications in CPR or industrial safety. A proactive mindset focused on professional growth and skill advancement.
