Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented, tech-savvy Digital Templater to join our stone fabrication team. In this role, you will travel to residential and commercial job sites to create precise, highly accurate digital blueprints of cabinets and walls where stone countertops will be installed. Using advanced laser measuring systems, you will capture dimensions, wall irregularities, and cutout locations (sinks, cooktops, faucets) to ensure a flawless fit during final installation. Key Responsibilities 1. On-Site Digital Measuring Travel to client locations (residential homes and commercial construction sites) in a company-provided vehicle. Set up and operate digital laser templating equipment (Laser Products LT-2D3D) to map out countertop areas. Capture critical details including overhangs, backsplashes, wall scribes, and radius corners. 2. CAD Data & File Management Convert laser data into clean, accurate DXF or CAD files on-site using a tablet. Verify all dimensions, ensuring the digital layout accounts for un-level cabinets or out-of-square walls. Upload finalized files, job site photos, and detailed notes immediately to the fabrication shop's system. 3. Client Communication & Consultations Review project details directly with the homeowner, builder, or interior designer on-site. Confirm critical preferences such as edge profiles, sink styles (under-mount vs. drop-in), and faucet hole configurations. Address any structural issues on-site (e.g., unlevel cabinetry or insufficient support) and document them clearly.
