Job Description

Gpac is working with a well-established food manufacturer that is seeking a Night Shift Maintenance Technician for their facility south of LaCrosse in Vernon County.
Shift:
6pm-6am | Mon,Tues & Every Other Fri-Sun or Wed, Thurs and every other weekend This is a
  • hands-on, multi-craft maintenance position
  • supporting a highly automated dairy facility.
The role focuses on ensuring safe, complaint, and reliable operation of production, packaging, and utility systems across a 24/7 operation. The position offers consistent hours, a strong team culture, and the chance to work with advanced automation, robotics, and pasteurization systems. It's ideal for a mechanically and electrically skilled technician who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
The Ideal Candidate Brings:
  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (food/beverage preferred)
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency with PLCs, VFDs, and automated packaging equipment
  • Experience maintaining pumps, conveyors, separators, and pasteurizers
  • Familiarity with instrumentation, calibration, and sanitary process systems
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, and electrical drawings
  • Experience with ammonia refrigeration, boilers, and wastewater systems a plus
  • Commitment to food safety, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement
  • Safety-conscious mindset with ability to work independently on 6pm-6am shift What's in It for You?
