Automation Technician I - Electronics Manufacturing | 2nd Shift Madison, WI | Monday-Thursday | 2:45 PM-12:45 AM | 4-
Day Workweek Pay:
$24-$26/hour, based on experience $1,500 Sign-On Bonus Advanced Assembly, Inc. is hiring an Automation Technician I to support automated equipment used in electronics and printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing. This is an entry-level technical opportunity for someone with experience or training in electronics, manufacturing, automation, CNC, automotive technology, machinery, electromechanical systems, or equipment troubleshooting. You'll work alongside experienced technicians to monitor equipment, troubleshoot production issues, make adjustments, support maintenance activities, and help keep production running smoothly. Why Join Advanced Assembly? 4-day workweek — Monday-Thursday 2nd shift — 2:45 PM-12:45 AM 3-day weekends every week $24-$26/hour, based on experience $1,500 sign-on bonus Full-time benefits Hands-on technical experience and training Opportunity to build skills in automation, electronics manufacturing, and equipment troubleshooting Stable manufacturing environment in Madison's University Research Park What You'll Do Monitor automated manufacturing equipment during production Troubleshoot equipment and production issues Make equipment adjustments to maintain quality and production requirements Assist with equipment maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting Monitor manufacturing processes and product quality Record production and equipment information Assist technicians with production and prototype activities Support production teams and help maintain workflow Operate production equipment as needed What We're Looking For Associate degree or technical training in electronics, manufacturing technology, CNC, automotive technology, computer programming, PC repair, or a related field preferred Equivalent hands-on technical or manufacturing experience may be considered in place of a degree Mechanical aptitude and interest in troubleshooting equipment Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work effectively in a team environment Experience That May Transfer Well Experience in any of the following may be a good foundation for this role: Electronics manufacturing SMT / Surface Mount Technology PCB / printed circuit board assembly Manufacturing or production technician work Machine operation or machine troubleshooting Industrial maintenance Electromechanical equipment CNC equipment Automotive repair or technology Robotics or automation Technical school or manufacturing technology programs Prior PCB or SMT experience is helpful, but it is not required .
