Job Purpose We are looking for a reliable 1099 contractor, this position support of our customers to bury and bore underground coax or fiber drop cables to single-family, multi-family, and or commercial customers. This is accomplished using specialized trenching and boring machinery for situations involving sidewalks, driveways, streets, and hand placement using hand tools where necessary. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with this work. Looking for : Individuals with a driver's license and truck/trailer hitch Preferred (but not necessary) experience performing drop burials, sidewalk bores, and driveway bores (fiber splicing experience is a plus) Experience repairing irrigation and dog fences The ability to learn quickly and self-manage different situations that may arise

Duties and Responsibilities:

Bury drop to meet systems specifications.: must bury 6 to 8 inches in depth. Able to identify located utilities to avoid damages. Able to locate unmarked utilities and customers equipment such as dog fences, irrigation systems etc. Able to restore jobsite to original conditions. Able to stick bore and have proper knowledge. Interpret work drawings and instructions and complete necessary paperwork. Review all requested and existing services with the customer before installation of new drop. Operate machinery including trenching and boring equipment for burying cable. ie… [Ditch Witch 255SX, 100SX, Vermeer LM25/42, etc} Operate hand-held unit for retrieving and clearing job tasks. Work to complete necessary tasks as assigned. Responsible for damages. Qualifications Must have at least one (1) year of full-time experience as a drop bury technician. Operate machinery including trenching and boring equipment for burying cable. Ability to work the schedule including overtime as needed. Strong verbal and written communication ability Ability to work independently or as a team player. Valid driver's license needed. Required to work outdoors in all types of weather and may be exposed to dust, fluctuating temperatures, and periodic high noise levels. Tech is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. Tech is require to have a machine.(i.e. Ditch Witch 255SX, 100SX, Vermeer LM25/42, etc.)?

Note:

This is not mandatory as we do have machines available but is helpful in placing a qualified candidate on the project faster. Must have a truck or van that can pull a trailer loaded with a drop bury machine and equipment
