Job Description

About Us:
We are a growing real estate company based in Huntington, dedicated to transforming properties into quality homes for our community. We started 10 years ago and currently have over 100 rental houses and apartments in the area. Our construction division plays a pivotal role in renovating properties, ensuring they meet our high standards before being leased out. We are looking for skilled and reliable maintenance technicians to join or lead our maintenance department. The primary responsibility for this position is to preserve and improve the condition and functionality of our properties: conducting quality assessments, scheduling and performing repairs, interacting with tenants and developing preventative maintenance procedures. Our ideal candidate will be a jack-of-all-trades, with knowledge of most typical maintenance requirements and procedures as well as basic tools and appliances. To excel in this position, you must be a problem-solver with strong communication and organizational skills.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues. Repair faulty items in properties. Implement preventative maintenance procedures. Manage heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality. Plan and schedule repairs. Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard. HVAC and appliance repair capabilities are a big plus!! Perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, drywall, paint and any other task needed to make repairs. Maintain the inventory records for equipment and supplies (Maintenance Leader)
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and smart phone with data plan. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role. In-depth knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems. Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques. Physically capable and available to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings. Effective problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Capable of using online spreadsheets and other forms of technology related to the record keeping of tasks. Well- organized with the ability to prioritize tasks.
