GENERAL DESCRIPTION
To assign and assist with daily work orders to the appropriate trades staff. Manage and supervise all trades staff, and prioritize all work orders on basis of urgency. Coordinate with building managers/vendors/customers for verification of work that will be performed at armory. Primary physical area of responsibility includes Rock Springs, Evanston, Afton and Lander WYARNG facilities and other leased or owned properties in the Southwest Section of the state.Human Resource Contact:

Assigns work priority to lower level; devises a schedule of work, agenda, or timetable for subordinates to accomplish assigned tasks; orchestrates the management of personnel, equipment, and materials to accomplish all facility maintenance tasks; responsible for the quality and craftsmanship performed by skilled trades and contractors. Applies knowledge of skilled trades and managerial skills to mentor subordinates in their area of responsibility, building and utility systems (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, sewer, fire protection, minor structural components, and electronic security systems). Reads and interprets plans, specifications, and manufacturers' technical manuals. Accomplishes the vast majority of troubleshooting, repair, remodeling, design, and construction of state and federal facility maintenance; prepares scopes of work for bidding and procurement; determines the most cost-effective method of accomplishing corrective maintenance.Responsible for electrical duties including:
replacing light bulbs and ballast, repairing or replacing switches, controls, dialers and other electrical components, troubleshooting and locating problems, maintaining/ operating emergency generators, and recommending design parameters of new service. Oversees Janitors in three different locations. Provides training and mentorship to these individuals. Provides lists of and recommends approval of cleaning supplies and materials. Verifies proper storage, usage, and disposal of cleaning materials and equipment. Responsible for weed and pest control. Commercial Applicator's License, Pesticide Applicator License. Training will be provided by the State of Wyoming, Military Department, during the first year of employment. PREFERENCES/•AGENCYREQUIREMENTS
: Preference may be given to applicants with a Journeyman Electrical License. •Required to obtain/maintain a Driver's License •Required to obtain/maintain Federal Security ClearanceKNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of all electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, domestic water distribution, and sewer. Knowledge of building planning, construction, and supervision of projects. Knowledge of structural and mechanical techniques used in the construction of buildings. Knowledge of grounds maintenance and utility distribution, repair, and emergency response. Knowledge of federal, state, and agency purchasing and property control procedures.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Position is classified as essential personnel •Employee may be subject to after hours call back or reporting to work outside of their normally scheduled hours•Required to Travel 40% of time. Less During Winter Weather. Required to obtain Commercial Applicator License / Pesticide Applicator License during first 12 months of employment.
