is looking for a talented and energetic Electrical Engineer to add to our team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will work with the MEP team in a dynamic, rapid-growth work environment with a group of talented engineers, architects, designers, builders, craftsmen and manufacturers. You will be challenged to develop your skills in a new field, taking a lead role in project delivery via the DMC methodology.
Responsibilities and tasks include:
Research, design, detail, and support installation of facility Electrical systems to meet client's requirements in both large and small projects. Perform Electrical system and equipment design for a wide range of projects, and work with other engineers, project managers, and construction professionals as needed to create and/or modify design parameters. Analyze Electrical systems and equipment when necessary to create solutions to optimize performance, safety and increase the efficiency of operation. Specific forms of analysis include overcurrent protective device selective coordination, arc flash hazard, illumination, and energy performance. Support production of projects including manufacturing design, computer modeling, selection of manufacturing and construction methods, fabrication, testing, and implementation of products and systems. Communicate directly with customers and partners to understand project requirements, goals, design specifications, and operational environments in order to evaluate cost, feasibility, and implementation of new facility Electrical systems. Evaluate design drawings & specifications according to required quality regulations. Assist in management of CAD/Revit design modeling activities and ensure compliance to the project timeframe. Collaborate with installers in manufacturing and construction to improve quality, flow and efficiency of implementation of the design. Support project leader to coordinate efforts of managers, engineers, drafters, and manufacturing personnel during all project phases.
Requirements:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering plus experience in the facility Electrical engineering industry Familiarity with design standards and regulations for electrical systems, e.g. National Electrical Code, Healthcare Facilities Code (NFPA 99), etc. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Punctual and able to meet deadlines Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred:
Professional Engineering license Experience with the design of healthcare facilities Experience with 3D Modeling programs, especially Revit, as well as Auto
CAD, CADMEP
Demonstrated capability with electrical system analysis software e.g. EasyPower, ETAP, or SKM Dapper/Captor.
