Job Description

Electrical Engineer Deploy's Client is creating the tools to convert a resistant Architecture Engineering and Construction Industry intoa smart and efficient machine. Deploy's Client is the prime manufacturer in the Design Manufacture Construct(DMC) system; they manufacture large building chunks that can transported and assembled on site intocomplex buildings quickly. They have 350 employees, eleven production lines and significant growth. DMC is a building delivery system that uses design to leverage manufacturing productivity so thatconstruction is simple. Its goal is to make buildings twice as good, twice as fast, and with twice the valueof those made by anyone, anywhere - 2x2x2. For those motivated to play a part in that change, this isan exciting time at Deploy's Client. Deploy's Client is looking for a talented and energetic Electrical Engineer to add to our team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will work with the MEP team in a dynamic, rapid-growth workenvironment with a group of talented engineers, architects, designers, builders, craftsmen andmanufacturers. You will be challenged to develop your skills in a new field, taking a lead role in projectdelivery via the DMC methodology.
Responsibilities and tasks include:
Research, design, detail, and support installation of facility Electrical systems to meet client'srequirements in both large and small projects. Perform Electrical system and equipment design for a wide range of projects, and work with otherengineers, project managers, and construction professionals as needed to create and/or modifydesign parameters. Analyze Electrical systems and equipment when necessary to create solutions to optimizeperformance, safety and increase the efficiency of operation. Specific forms of analysis includeovercurrent protective device selective coordination, arc flash hazard, illumination, and energyperformance. Support production of projects including manufacturing design, computer modeling, selection ofmanufacturing and construction methods, fabrication, testing, and implementation of products andsystems. Communicate directly with customers and partners to understand project requirements, goals,design specifications, and operational environments in order to evaluate cost, feasibility, andimplementation of new facility Electrical systems. Evaluate design drawings & specifications according to required quality regulations. Assist in management of CAD/Revit design modeling activities and ensure compliance to the projecttimeframe. Collaborate with installers in manufacturing and construction to improve quality, flow and efficiencyof implementation of the design. Support project leader to coordinate efforts of managers, engineers, drafters, and manufacturingpersonnel during all project phases.
Job Skills & Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering Experience in the facility Electricalengineering industry Familiarity with design standards and regulations for electrical systems, e.g. National Electrical Code,Healthcare Facilities Code (NFPA 99), etc. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Punctual and able to meet deadlines Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred:
Professional Engineering license Experience with the design of healthcare facilities Experience with 3D Modeling programs, especially Revit, as well as Auto
CAD, CADMEP
Demonstrated capability with electrical system analysis software e.g. EasyPower, ETAP, or SKM Dapper/Captor.
