Work Model:
Onsite - onsite Responsibilities Lead electrical projects from concept and scope development through detailed design, construction, startup, and commissioning. Design and review MV/LV distribution, substations, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, large motors, VFD/DC drives, and high-current bus systems. Produce and review AutoCAD-based industrial installation packages, including single-lines, layouts, conduit/tray plans, grounding, lighting, controls, and interconnections. Support PLC automation, instrumentation, process control, and industrial communications. Coordinate system studies including load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, and arc flash. Lead and mentor junior engineers/designers while coordinating with clients, contractors, OEMs, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams. Provide practical field engineering, commissioning, and troubleshooting support in operating industrial facilities. Requirements Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related technical discipline; Bachelor's preferred. 7-10+ years of heavy industrial electrical engineering/design/construction experience. Strong AutoCAD skills and proven ability to develop detailed electrical installation packages. Experience with industrial power distribution, motors, MCCs, VFDs/DC drives, automation, instrumentation, and process control. Strong leadership, communication, troubleshooting, and project-execution skills. Working knowledge of
NEC, NFPA
70E, IEEE, IEC, and OSHA requirements.
Highly Valued Experience:
Steel mills, rolling mills, finishing lines, melt shops, or metals processing; Medium/high-voltage systems and substations up to 138 kV; EPC/design-build industrial capital projects; Journeyman Electrician or comparable hands-on industrial electrical field experience; Predictive maintenance, power quality, infrared, or motor-testing experience.
