Job Description

Highlights of the job We are looking for an Electrical Asset Management Engineer to lead the lifecycle management, performance optimization, and risk mitigation of electrical assets across
EPCOR USA.
This role also serves as the technical owner of the Arc Flash Program, ensuring compliance, data integrity, and continuous improvement of electrical safety and reliability. This position will be based out of our Glendale, AZ office and will be reporting to the Associate Director, Strategic Planning. What you'd be responsible for Electrical Asset Management Develop and maintain asset management strategies for electrical equipment including switchgear, MCCs, transformers, relays, and distribution systems Establish asset criticality rankings, condition assessment methodologies, and lifecycle plans Analyze asset performance and maintenance data to inform capital planning and risk mitigation Support long-term capital planning and prioritization Maintain accurate electrical asset data Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams Provide technical guidance and training on asset management and arc flash safety Support incident investigations and root cause analyses Develop engineering standards, specifications, and guidelines Review and approve system modifications and changes Ensure compliance with
OSHA, NFPA, IEEE
standards Arc Flash Program Management Act as technical owner of the Arc Flash Program Ensure arc flash studies meet NFPA 70E and
IEEE 1584
requirements Manage study scope, schedule, and contractor coordination Maintain system models and protective device data Oversee labeling and field validation Support PPE selection and energized work planning Establish governance processes for system changes What's required to be successful Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, power systems, or asset management Experience with arc flash studies and power system analysis Experience with analysis software Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills PE license or ability to obtain within 2 years Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) Strong analytical and quantitative skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Leadership and organizational abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Wh y EPCOR?
