: Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Compliance Engineer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will assist in the design, testing, and certification of our electronic products, ensuring they meet agency compliance criteria, including UL, CE, and TUV.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Review BOMs, electrical schematics, and PCB layouts to ensure compatibility with agency requirements.
Collaborate with third-party agencies and external labs to meet certification deadlines.
Perform tests, including temperature, HI Pot, and EMC measurements, and provide reports as needed.
Review regulatory documentation associated with AMC products.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of work experience in the design, testing, or compliance of industrial electronics.
Minimum BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Preferred Experience
Experience with servo drive design, certification, and testing.
Familiarity with regulatory standards such as
UL/IEC 61800-5-1, EN
61000-6, and
IEC 61508.
Experience with
UL/IEC 60601
for medical devices.
Electrical design experience.
Understanding of electrical circuits and component behavior, including parasitic elements and interactions.
Knowledge of design practices to suppress EMI and achieve high EMC across control and power spectrums.
Required Education
Minimum BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields.
Option:
Minimum AS degree in Engineering or related fields with a minimum of 10 years of related experience.
Other Requirements
Travel to external labs for testing is required.
Occasionally/frequently stand, walk, sit, use both hands, and carry/lift/push/pull up to 25 lbs.
