We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Engineer with strong experience in electrical construction to support and lead electrical projects from preconstruction through commissioning. The Project Engineer will coordinate technical work, schedules, budgets, and subcontractors to ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery across commercial, residential, industrial, and mission-critical environments. The ideal candidate combines hands-on electrical knowledge with strong communication and project-management skills and is comfortable working on ground-up, design-build, tenant-improvement, and data center projects. Key Responsibilities Lead engineering activities for the electrical scope: review drawings, prepare submittals, create system layouts, and resolve field technical issues.

Develop and maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and coordinate resources to meet milestones and completion dates.

Prepare and process RFIs, change orders, punch lists, and project documentation; maintain accurate project records and daily reports.

Coordinate with general contractors, design teams, subcontractors, vendors, and IBEW crews to ensure proper sequencing and adherence to project requirements. Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Project Engineer or similar role in electrical construction (commercial, residential, industrial, or mission-critical projects preferred).

Demonstrated proficiency with electrical installation, electrical systems, electrical service work, and electrical maintenance best practices.

Strong knowledge of NEC, local codes, and industry standards; experience with commissioning and testing procedures.

Familiarity with project types including ground up, design-build, tenant improvement, multi-family/multifamily, retail, healthcare/hospital, hospitality/hotel, industrial, and data center/mission critical environments.

Hands-on experience or collaboration with IBEW crews and electrical technicians preferred.

Proficient with construction software and tools (AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, MS Office, project management platforms, and field reporting tools).
