Job Description The Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Superintendent - Alarm Systems is responsible for leading field installation, coordination, quality, and commissioning activities for all alarm and monitoring systems on a large-scale semiconductor construction project. This role oversees the execution of life safety, process alarm, gas detection, environmental monitoring, emergency notification, and building automation alarm systems within complex cleanroom and manufacturing environments.
The Superintendent will work closely with owners, design teams, subcontractors, vendors, commissioning teams, and other trades to ensure alarm systems are installed safely, meet design specifications, comply with applicable codes, and support startup and operational readiness milestones. Experience working in active semiconductor fabs or high-tech manufacturing facilities is strongly preferred. Skills and Requirements 5+ years of Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) construction leadership experience.
Semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or large industrial project experience.
Hands-on experience with alarm systems including fire alarm, gas detection, emergency notification, BMS, and process alarms.
Experience commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting control/alarm systems.
Experience working in live facilities and/or cleanroom environments.
Ability to read control schematics, wiring diagrams, alarm matrices, and construction documents.
