Job Description

Job Title:
Electrical Engineer Job Description We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with 2-3+ years of experience in low voltage wiring, wiring schematics, and proficiency in AutoCAD. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical concepts and design, and will work closely with senior staff to finalize projects, assist with technical calls, and support wiremen with electrical inquiries. While fire alarm experience is highly valued, it is not mandatory. Responsibilities Create wiring diagrams and schematics for Fire Alarm panels. Collaborate with Fire Alarm Software. Assist with technical calls for customers. Develop electrical systems and components based on project requirements. Utilize CAD software for design and layout of electrical systems. Support testing of panels and address wiring questions. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design. Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Experience with low voltage electrical systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with fire alarm systems is a huge plus. Familiarity with metallics software is advantageous but not required. Understanding of CNC programming and NC files. Work Environment This role offers a small, quiet office environment in a woman-owned, family-run company with a high average tenure among employees. The company provides 80% paid health benefits, 15 days of PTO, and a pay range between $75K and $120K. The office operates from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and promotes individual projects without micromanaging. The company has been established since 1930 and is dedicated to manufacturing high-quality Fire Alarm Annunciators and Custom Control Panels. The work includes local and international projects such as high rises and the LA Convention Center. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arvada, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $53.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
