Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Chief Engineer to lead our engineering and maintenance operations across our manufacturing facilities. This pivotal role involves overseeing the design, implementation, and management of complex mechanical, electrical, and automation systems to ensure optimal facility performance. As a key leader, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives, manage maintenance teams, and uphold the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining seamless operations and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within our organization. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the engineering team to execute maintenance, repair, and installation projects across all facilities. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to maximize equipment uptime. Oversee the operation and troubleshooting of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), electrical systems—including high voltage and low voltage components—and HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance. Review technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings to diagnose issues accurately and plan effective solutions. Manage facilities management activities, including space planning, safety compliance, and environmental standards adherence. Coordinate project management efforts for new installations or upgrades, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, system performance data, and incident reports to support continuous improvement efforts. Skills Extensive management experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams in industrial or manufacturing environments. Strong mechanical knowledge with proficiency in industrial maintenance practices and troubleshooting techniques. In-depth electrical experience covering low voltage systems, high voltage infrastructure, schematics interpretation, and use of tools such as ohmmeters. Familiarity with HVAC systems, facilities management principles, and safety standards related to industrial settings. Proven ability to operate and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and other automation equipment. Experience with CMMS software for scheduling maintenance tasks and tracking asset performance. Excellent project management skills with a focus on delivering results efficiently while managing resources effectively. Fluency in English with strong communication skills for team leadership and cross-department collaboration. Supervising experience that demonstrates leadership in guiding teams through complex technical challenges while fostering a safety-first culture.
