Job Description

MasTec is seeking a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer to support design and delivery of energy and utility infrastructure projects. In this role, you will develop designs, calculations, and specifications for power delivery, renewables, and related systems, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with industry codes. You'll collaborate with field teams and project managers, review drawings, support construction, and participate in site visits. Responsibilities Design and analyze mechanical or electrical systems for utility and energy projects Develop engineering calculations, drawings, and equipment specifications Ensure compliance with safety, reliability, and industry codes and standards Collaborate with project managers, field teams, and clients to support project delivery Review and approve design documents, submittals, and as-built drawings Support construction, testing, and commissioning activities through site visits Identify and mitigate technical risks and support problem resolution in the field Prepare technical reports, documentation, and project records Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and processes Promote Mas Tec's culture of safety, integrity, and teamwork on all projects Required Skills Power systems design Mechanical systems design Auto CAD or similar CAD tools Load calculation and analysis Equipment specifications Project documentation Utility and energy codes/standards Field inspections and commissioning Risk and reliability analysis Microsoft Office and engineering software
