Job Summary:
Supports commissioning activities for projects, ensuring the verification, validation, and performance of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and integrated building systems. Assists in commissioning planning, execution, and documentation to confirm systems meet design intent and operational requirements. Collaborates with project teams, engineers, and trade partners to support consistent and efficient system turnover. Applies technical knowledge to support commissioning processes across project phases.
Key Responsibilities:
Supports commissioning planning and execution for projects, ensuring MEP and building systems are tested and validated in alignment with project requirements. Assists in developing and maintaining commissioning plans, including testing requirements, inspections, start-up procedures, and documentation. Coordinates commissioning activities, including scheduling system testing, tracking progress, and documenting issues through resolution and turnover. Reviews test documentation, system performance data, and vendor reports to support compliance with design intent and operational criteria. Collaborates with project managers, MEP coordinators, clients, and trade partners to communicate and resolve commissioning-related issues. Applies established commissioning processes, tools, and standards to support consistency and quality across projects.
Education Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
Work Experience:
4-6 years of experience in commissioning, MEP coordination, building systems operations, or a related field required.
Certifications and Licenses:
None required. Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP), Accredited Commissioning Process Authority (CxA), or LEED Accredited Professional preferred.
