Description The role entails designing and analyzing mechanical and electrical systems, creating solutions for machine design challenges, and utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) tools. The engineer will engage in project management responsibilities, oversee prototype development, and participate in research and development activities to drive innovation in drone technology solutions. We are seeking a Mid-Level or Senior Electrical Engineer with cross-disciplinary mechanical engineering experience to support the design and development of advanced aerial camera pod systems. The ideal candidate is hands-on, comfortable working across electrical and mechanical domains, and experienced in rapid prototyping and system integration. This role combines electrical design, prototyping, troubleshooting, and system validation within a fast-paced engineering environment. Lead the electrical design and development of aerial camera pod systems, including battery systems, network infrastructure, and control electronics. Select and validate connectors, electronic components, and protection circuitry suitable for long-term field deployment. PCB design, development, and integration. Perform hands-on electrical assembly, including crimping, soldering wires, and PCB work. Independently assemble mechanical products and prototypes with precision. Interpret and implement wiring and cabling diagrams for prototype and production systems. Configure software systems and perform initial testing prior to quality control handoff. Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to validate electrical systems at the component, subsystem, and full-system levels. Troubleshoot complex electrical issues using standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers. Ensure designs meet reliability, safety, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC/EMI) requirements. Diagnose and resolve system-level and component-level issues. Source components and materials based on technical specifications and project requirements. Support rapid development cycles and time-sensitive logistics to ensure project milestones are met.
