Gray AES is looking to add an Electrical Engineer-MEP to our Atlanta, GA, Birmingham, AL, Charlotte, NC, Dallas, TX and Lexington, KY Office.

Who we want… Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution Professional Engineering License is required. 5+ years of professional experience in electrical design engineering, with a focus on commercial, industrial, or mission-critical facilities. Strong working knowledge of electrical systems design, including lighting, power distribution, grounding, telecommunications, and security systems. Familiarity with electrical codes and standards, including NEC, NFPA, IBC, and client-specific design requirements. Proficiency in Bluebeam, Revit and AutoCAD, with experience in BIM workflows and model coordination. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills for system analysis, cost modeling, and performance optimization. Experience with electrical design tools (e.g., SKM Power Tools, ETAP, or similar). Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines and contribute to client-facing engagements. Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines, coordinate with project teams, and maintain high standards of technical accuracy. Energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous learning and professional development. Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Qualifications:

What we expect… Lead and contribute to the design of electrical systems, including interior/exterior lighting, power distribution, grounding, lightning protection, telecom, and security infrastructure. Perform and document design calculations to ensure compliance with applicable codes and client specifications. Conduct quality control reviews of design documents, including drawings, specifications, and calculations. Collaborate with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams to meet project schedules and deliver complete, coordinated design packages. Review and respond to contractor RFIs, shop drawings, and product submittals, ensuring design intent is maintained. Participate in client meetings and design reviews, providing technical input and supporting project delivery. Support the development and refinement of internal design standards and best practices. Assist in mentoring junior engineers and designers, contributing to team growth and knowledge sharing. Other duties as assigned.
