Position Overview We are seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer to support electrical engineering design for water/wastewater, industrial, and related infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for an engineer with 3-10 years of experience who is looking to grow their technical skills while working alongside experienced engineers and project leaders. The Junior Electrical Engineer will assist with the design, analysis, documentation, and coordination of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting , instrumentation , controls, and arc flash-related project support . Key Responsibilities Assist with the design and development of electrical systems for water/wastewater, industrial, and facility-related projects. Support power distribution, lighting, communications, instrumentation, controls, and related electrical design work. Prepare and revise engineering drawings, specifications, schedules, and construction documents. Perform electrical calculations, load studies, short circuit support, and arc flash-related analysis under the direction of senior staff. Assist with P&IDs, control diagrams, and coordination of instrumentation and control systems. Review project documents, contractor submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs for accuracy and compliance. Coordinate with internal engineering teams, clients, vendors, and contractors to support project delivery. Participate in site visits, field observations, and construction support activities as needed. Maintain awareness of applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 3-10 years of electrical engineering experience. Experience with water/wastewater, industrial, manufacturing, utilities, or MEP design preferred. Working knowledge of power distribution, electrical design, instrumentation, controls, and arc flash concepts. Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit
MEP, SKM
PowerTools, ETAP, or similar engineering/design software preferred. Knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards, including NEC, NFPA, and
IEEE. EIT
certification preferred; PE license or progress toward PE licensure is a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work well in a team environment.
