Electrical Design Engineer - Mid, Senior & Principal ENERCON $90,000.00 - $185,000.00 /Yr. United States, Georgia, Kennesaw 500 Townpark Lane (Show on map) Aug 11, 2026 Overview Become a part of ENERCON as an Electrical Design Engineer. We are seeking talented Electrical Engineers to join our Nuclear Design Group. Our Electrical Engineer career path has many options. We are currently hiring for full-time roles in the following locations: Glendale, AZ San Luis Obispo, CA Kennewick, WA Chattanooga, TN Kennesaw, GA (Suburb of Atlanta) Naperville, IL (Suburb of Chicago) Overland Park, KS Ft Worth, TX Baton Rouge, LA Palm Beach Gardens, FL Birmingham, AL Responsibilities In this role, you'll collaborate with interdisciplinary partners, coordinate across engineering teams, and help drive successful project execution. Your day-to-day work may include developing design studies, preparing engineering calculations & analysis, attending project meetings, conducting field walkdowns, and mentoring junior engineers. You'll apply your expertise to challenging and meaningful projects while contributing to technical excellence and innovation.
Collaborate Across Disciplines:
Act as the bridge between engineering teams, ensuring seamless integration and coordination across all project disciplines
Shape Project Success:
Develop innovative design studies, define project scopes, and create accurate engineering estimates to drive project excellence
Master Procurement & Installation:
Draft detailed specifications for electrical equipment, evaluate technical bids, and select top-tier solutions to meet project needs
Perform Precision Calculations:
Execute essential electrical calculations that form the foundation of successful designs and installations
Think Creatively:
Bring fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to solve complex technical challenges and push projects forward Be Hands-On in the
Field:
Travel to project sites, conduct walkdowns, oversee installations, and support start-up activities to ensure quality and compliance
Lead and Inspire Teams:
Foster a positive, goal-oriented environment with your motivational leadership style, empowering teams to achieve success #LI-MB1 Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university Minimum of 3 years of experience with design of electrical systems(high voltage, switchgear, motor controls) Must have experience in power generation, nuclear power or government (DOE) projects directly or with an engineering/design consulting firm Writing, presentation and communication skills Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams Proficient in Word and Excel Due to Federal Contract Requirements, US Citizenship is required Compensation Range USD $90,000.00 - USD $185,000.00 /Yr.
