Job Description

Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc. seeks a Chief Engineer, Data Centers to lead reliable, safe, and efficient operations across mission-critical facilities. You will oversee mechanical, electrical, and controls infrastructure; drive preventive and predictive maintenance; and manage incident response to protect uptime. Partnering with clients and JLL teams, you will plan capacity, guide infrastructure upgrades, and champion sustainability. You will mentor engineering staff, manage vendors and budgets, and leverage data and technology to optimize performance in a performance-driven, innovative culture. Responsibilities Lead day-to-day engineering operations across JLL-managed data centers, ensuring continuous uptime and reliability of critical systems. Oversee maintenance, testing, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and controls infrastructure. Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend asset life. Manage vendor and contractor performance, ensuring compliance with SLAs, safety, and quality standards. Develop and manage operating and capital budgets, optimizing energy use and lifecycle costs. Ensure adherence to regulatory, safety, and environmental standards and drive sustainability initiatives. Collaborate with clients, property management, and project teams on capacity planning and infrastructure upgrades. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a performance-driven culture. Support incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement of reliability and resilience. Leverage technology, data, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and reporting.
