Job Title:
Electrical Design Engineer Job Description We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of industrial control systems. This role involves creating initial concepts, proposals, cost estimates, schematics, and bills of materials, and may include programming, startup, and ongoing support. Responsibilities Design and develop industrial control systems. Generate initial concepts, proposals, and cost estimates. Create schematics and bills of materials. Program control systems (optional). Oversee startup and provide support. Collaborate with the team to integrate industrial sensing and actuating devices. Communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders. Essential Skills 3-5 years of experience designing electrical systems using AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and Solidworks. Experience with three-phase power systems up to 575 VAC. Familiarity with transformers, motors, and power-related topics. Creation of AC and DC control circuits. Proficiency in using analog signals. Strong communication skills. Proficiency in office applications such as Excel and Word. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Solidworks Electrical is a plus. PLC/HMI programming experience is beneficial. A degree is not required. Work Environment This role is primarily based in an office environment (80%), focusing on design work, with some time spent on the shop floor (20%) collaborating with electricians. The position offers a flexible 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, with the option for flexible start times. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $44.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
